If you are thinking about installing a fire pit, many factors need to be considered, like location, budget, the required materials, and how many pavers do you need to build the perfect outdoor space.

How many pavers do you need for a fire pit?

The answer depends a lot on how big you want your fire pit to be and the type of paving stones you wanna use. Normally, the standard size for a fire pit is between 36 and 44 inches inside diameter, but that’s not a rule, once the size will follow your backyard space and all the local regulations.

To find out how many pavers are required for the project, you’re gonna need to do a little math. First, measure and calculate the area that your fire pit is gonna take, the length of the paver fire pit multiplied by the width gives its total area in square footage. Then, divide this total square footage with the surface area of the type of paver you chose.

Then measure the height you want your fire pit to be (remember that it can be too tall or too short) and divide by the height of your pavers, the total is the number of rings your fire pit is gonna have. Now multiply the previous number by the number of rings to know how many pavers are required.
